The sports drama ‘Chandu Champion’, starring Kartik Aaryan, witnessed impressive growth at the box office on its third day, solidifying a robust first-weekend performance.
According to early estimates, the film garnered Rs 10 crore at the domestic box office on Sunday. This follows an opening day collection of Rs 4.75 crore and a Rs 7 crore haul on its second day, bringing the estimated total to a notable Rs 21.75 crore, states a report on sacnilk.com.

In a statement released by the film’s team, it was revealed that ‘Chandu Champion’ grossed approximately Rs 13.1 crore within its first two days.The film earned Rs 5.40 crore on its opening day (Friday) and collected Rs 7.70 crore on Saturday.

These figures mark ‘Chandu Champion’ as Kartik Aaryan’s 8th highest debut, with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ leading his box office records at Rs 55.95 crore, followed by ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ with Rs 37.35 crore, and ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ at Rs 35.94 crore.

Directed by Kabir Khan, ‘Chandu Champion’ is inspired by the life of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist. The film also features Vijay Raaz, Bhuvan Arora, and

Rajpal Yadav in significant roles. This marks Khan’s first directorial project since ’83’, which debuted during the height of the third wave of the pandemic in December 2021. ’83’, fronted by Ranveer Singh, depicted the Indian men’s cricket team’s first World Cup victory.

Reflecting on his latest venture, Khan expressed pride in the project, stating, “Here we are, after a long gap, but I have come back with something I’m very proud of and know will be a strong part of my filmography for years to come.”
