Mercedes-Benz India is all set to launch its latest electric offering in the Indian market in the form of the EQA. This will be the facelifted version of the EQA, and the German automaker’s fourth EV offering in India. Mercedes-Benz India had earlier committed to doubling its EV offerings in India, taking the total tally to six models. The EQA will join the EQB SUV, EQE SUV and EQS. Once it arrives, the EQA will compete against the BMW X1, Volvo XC40 Recharge and Kia EV6.

The Mercedes-Benz EQA facelift was revealed last year in August. From the outside, one of the most striking features has to be the front grille, with Mercedes-Benz’s signature star pattern and light bar that stretches from one headlamp to another. In terms of design language, the EQA shares quite a lot of elements with the EQB. On the inside, the EQA is expected to come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, fully-digital instrument cluster and a three-spoke steering wheel seen on other Mercedes models on sale in India.

In terms of battery pack options, Mercedes-Benz hasn’t revealed any details about the EQA yet. In international markets, the EQA electric SUV comes with two battery options and four variants. These include the EQA 250, EQA 250+, EQA 300 4Matic and EQA 350 4Matic. In India, the EQB is sold with a 66.5kWh battery that powers two electric motors, placed on each axle. This results in a combined power and torque output of 289bhp and 520Nm, respectively. The claimed range (WLTP) on the EQB 350 4Matic is rated up to 423km.
